This community driven naturally processed coffee is comprised by around 500 coffee farmers, the cherries are carefully selected and then sold direct to the washing station, and then sold to us by our friends at Omwani Coffee.

Typical farmers' plot sizes will range from one to three acres and are located across the hillsides of the luscious Rwenzori mountains. This coffee is often the primary income for many families living in the Rwenzoris. The Natural process has always been the commonly practiced method for producing coffee in the region, and a recurring sight as you travel through the mountains is seeing farmers drying their harvests on tarpaulins out the front of their homes.

This coffee is roasted to suit espresso, and we feel we have got the balance just right between sourness from dark cherries, and a pleasant bitterness from 75% dark chocolate. It suits most brewing methods, however less suited to a pour over.

We hope you enjoy this coffee from the mountains of the moon.
